The Summer Reading Challenge Is Here!
I’ve been working on this summer reading challenge for awhile and I think your kids will love it! No reading log, no handouts to turn in and best of all…NO pressure! Just an old-fashioned summer reading game with a cool twist to help other children at the same time.
The Summer Reading Bucket Challenge is a fun game that consists of using the pre-made tokens that I’ve designed to award your readers and non-readers for their accomplishments. The tokens are dropped into individual buckets or jars and tallied weekly. Reading is then rewarded by you each week. Easy prize ideas are included in the parent letter. I’ve also included additional reading activities in the packet for your children! 😊

The first 20 children to sign up will receive the special rate of $10 per child (normally $15). 100% of the packet funds will go directly towards new books for low income families serviced by the national children’s charity, Cradles To Crayons. Cradles To Crayons and PaperPie are partnering to increase book ownership among low income families. More than 31 million American children grow up without the income to cover basic needs. Buying books at retail cost is out of reach for most low income families. One proven factor that has consistently contributed to academic achievement is a HOME LIBRARY!

**IMPORTANT*” Children do not need to know how to read to participate as long as books are being read to them. These printables are digital downloads. If you’d like a packet mailed to your child ( because we know kids love getting mail!), there will be a small fee per packet.
